I found this item to be surprisingly easy to use from the start as I expected the leather to be hard and stiff but was very happy when after about 5 minutes it became flexible and stayed in place on my hand,I had a Palm many years ago during my Navy years along with all the kit so it was like coming home when I was using it,if you want to be able to start work on anything straight away without the need to work the leather for ages to get the newness out of it then this is the one you need to get,a joy to use and will I am sure give years of service,Top Marks.
The palm is exactly what I required for leather sewing. The leather is a bit hard at the moment but use and a leather preservative should solve that issue. I am an amateur/hobby leather worker so this palm should last me for the forseeable future.
I am looking forward to using it - and therefore not puncturing myself as was the case previously.
