Talamex Swedish Fid From  £6.60

As the title suggests, I have never spliced rope previously. When I saw the Fid on BOSUN BOB's website I had to have one for small diameter rope splicing practice.
Incidentally, my Fid is for small work
Part Ref: 11301001 and the 170mm version. At £4.25 it would be rude not to buy it as he also advertised a Sailmaker's palm for sale on the website and I needed one of them anyway

I have started to make fenders as a hobby and bought this together with it's bigger brother to see if they make life easier... they do! Both are really handy tools and are a must as far as I'm concerned, I tried a home made one but these are designed for the job and are well designed and robust, well recommended.

A well made small fid that is comfortable to use and ideal for smaller sizes of rope.
