A slack rig is more punishing on a hull & spars than a properly adjusted, tight rig by needlessly allowing excessive movement, chafe & shock loading.
Used a great deal by racing sailors, but equally important for use on cruising yachts, these easy to use & gauges will quickly & accurately give you the tension of your rigging, so that you can tune your boat for maximum performance. It will also let you repeat the rig-settings when re-stepping your mast in the spring.
These Professional gauges have a higher accuracy than the standard gauges and they can be adjusted with the gauge fixed on the wire. Readings based on 1x19 stainless steel cable
